The Mochi Craft Long Range 23 is the first large luxury motor yacht to be granted “Green Star Clean Energy – Clean Propulsion” certification by RINA, the Italian ship register.

The label was awarded for the craft’s innovative solution that offers onboard propulsion and an electrical energy-generating system that can also operate without using the internal combustion engines.

RINA’s decision to award this certification acknowledges and rewards the research and development work carried out by Ferretti’s advanced yacht technology unit, responsible for the creation of the innovative hybrid “Zero Emission Mode” propulsion system.

The revolutionary “Zero Emission Mode” hybrid propulsion system allows the craft to be managed in five different ways – easily controlled through a touch-screen display – ranging from the traditional diesel function to the zero emissions mode, using different combinations of diesel engine, electric engine, inverter, batteries and generator.

“This allows the opportunity to select the propulsion mode that best reflects the needs of the moment, whether it is sailing in unpolluted areas with total respect for the environment, mooring at zero emissions while accessing all the boat’s electrical facilities or entering and leaving port in absolute silence and no smoky exhaust emissions.

The Long Range 23 external lines reflect the Nordic “work boat” tradition combined with a refined Made in Italy style. On the inside, warm woods, like teak and oak, natural fabrics and cutting edge design solutions redefine the concept of onboard luxury and quality of life in the “expedition boat” market.
