Bicanter Launches Castellari Bergaglio Gavi in Malta

Bicanter, has launched another exciting brand to add to its portfolio of quality wines. Castellari Bergaglio, the renowned winery from Gavi, which is run by the Bergaglio family and has been producing top quality products for four generations.

Castellari Bergaglio needs no introduction in the Gavi region. They are a ‘traditional family-run winery using advanced technology to make fine wines, with the famous Gavi DOCG Pilin being able to age considerably with appropriate cellaring.

“We are extremely pleased to have been entrusted with marketing and distributing the Castellari Bergaglio range of Gavi’s, which are so popular in Malta,” John Farrugia of Bicanter wines said. “The range of wines fits with Bicanter’s philosophy of continuing to offer Maltese wine lovers good quality wines at reasonable prices.”

The winery has received excellent reviews from wine critics. Gambero Rosso Italian Wines note that the vineyards of Castellari Bergaglio are in one of the best areas of Gavi, in Rovereto and note that the winery continues to make wines at the top level. It specially mentioned the Gavi Pilin 2000, tasted this year, proves once again the high standard of quality already noted for this wine with even more complex flavours. Duemila vini have also specifically mentioned their wine culture policy.

Castelarri Bergaglio produces four different Gavi’s all of which are available in Malta. These are the Gavi di Tassarolo Fornaci, Gavi di Gavi Rolona, Gavi di Gavi Vignavecchia and Gavi Pilin.

The Castellari Bergaglio range joins Cusumano, Villa Matilde and Masciarelli from Italy. Over the past years, the company has grown into offering its clients top-quality wines from all over the world, as well as port, passito, olive oil and grappa from these producers. Over the coming months, Bicanter will continue to expand its range of quality wines.
