Back On supermarket shelves

Malta Independent Thursday, 16 October 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

The tasty inimitable quality chocolates Ferrero Rocher are back on the shelves of Maltese shops and supermarkets, in time for the autumn/winter season.

Clyde Attard, marketing manager for P. Cutajar and Co. Ltd, exclusive importers and distributors of Ferrero in Malta said: “The much awaited crispy, fine hazelnut chocolates are back after the summer. In Malta, Ferrero Rocher is a popular gift, especially during Christmas. The products that have just arrived in Malta ensure the quality and freshness that the brand is renowned for.”

Ferrero’s remarkable story began in 1946, in Italy, where after the war, sweets and chocolates were in short supply and were purchased mainly for special occasions from the local sweet shop. It was here in north western Italy in the small town of Alba, that master confectioner Pietro Ferrero developed a system that enabled him to mass-produce true quality confections and offer them to consumers at reasonable prices.
