Citadel Insurance has recently sponsored a conference organised by the Malta Association of Credit Management and the Malta Chamber of Advocates, held at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, Attard.

The conference, entitled Effective Interest Charging, was attended by legal advisors, financial controllers, credit management practitioners, bankers and members of the business community.

During the conference, various speakers addressed a number of aspects and issues on interest charging, risk assessment and banking interest. The conference also focused on the difference that exists between trade and consumer interest charging, among other areas, and highlighted consumer credit regulations and the EU Directive on Late Payment in Commercial Transactions.
