After a record-breaking first weekend in the UK, EA Sports has confirmed that its FIFA 09 has hit 1.2 million sales in Europe after less than a week on sale.

The achievement makes it the fastest start in the history of the award-winning franchise.

The title is available on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, PS2, DS, PSP and mobile. EA Sports is represented by FGL Entertainment Ltd., a subsidiary of the Forestals Group. FIFA 09 is available from all Forestals and The Matrix outlets in Malta and Gozo.
