The Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz will be hosting this year’s Youth of the Year Award presentation by OASI Foundation, the Gozo-based organisation catering for prevention, intervention and treatment services in relation to drug abuse and addiction.

During the course of the annual Youth of the Year ceremony, all nominees from various voluntary organisations around Malta and Gozo, who distinguished themselves through their voluntary services for the good of others, are honoured. Highlight of the evening is the presentation of the Youth of the Year Shield to one of the nominees, chosen by a specially formed Selection Committee Board to represent officially all the young volunteers in our society for the following 12 months.

This year’s ceremony will take place on 11 November 2008, under the auspice of the President, Eddie Fenech Adami.

“We are proud to be able to help OASI Foundation raise awareness among the Maltese of all the work this organisation is doing during the year,” said Noel Attard, General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz, “and we admire the amount of voluntary work that is being done by young people and that too often goes unnoticed by the community.”
