RS2 Software plc (RS2) joined card industry executives from around the world to attend Cartes & IDentification 2008, the world's largest trade show for card technology and identification, held recently at the Villepinte Exhibition Centre, in the north of Paris.

The RS2 delegation was made up of Radi El Haj, of ITM, parent company of RS2 Software plc, Godwin Schembri, chief technical officer, Angela Montanaro Marketing Manager, and Gordon Borg, marketing officer.

The annual rendezvous for electronic identification and card technology, this year brought together some 520 exhibitors and 20,000 delegates from 140 countries to attend this 23rd edition. Professionals from across industries, attending the event, included senior managers from banking, telecommunications, smart cards, computing and engineering, electronics and security industries, amongst others.

Mr Schembri pointed out that it was a very informative experience that shed light on the way card technology is forging ahead in today's world. He said: “The trade show brought together some of the industry's foremost minds to decide the future direction of cards, payments and technology.”
