Bank of Valletta has announced its annual branch manager and employee of the year awards for 2008. The BOV branch manager of the Year Award was given to John Galea, manager of BOV’s Birkirkara branch, while the employee of the year award was given to Susanne Buttigieg, financial advisor at the Bank’s Qormi branch.

These prestigious honours are awarded to those persons who distinguish themselves for their professionalism and their dedication to the provision of excellent customer service. The Bank regularly rewards those employees who make a positive contribution to the Bank’s performance and who continue to make BOV’s business credo - “Your Success, Our Goal” – a reality.

Mr Galea joined Bank of Valletta in 1977 and worked in numerous branches throughout his banking career, including Lascaris Wharf, Mosta, Msida and Naxxar. In 2004 Mr. Galea was nominated to lead the Birkirkara Branch, Naxxar Road as branch manager.

Ms Buttigieg joined the Bank in 1995 and worked in various BOV branches. During the past two and a half years she has formed part of the BOV Qormi team, supporting customers as a financial advisor.
