Carol Singing at Hotel Phoenicia doorsteps

Malta Independent Saturday, 13 December 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

The Christmas spirit will be high at the Hotel Phoenicia in Floriana on Wednesday, 17 December at 7pm when its guests, tourists and locals alike will be able to enjoy carol singing, which the management team will hold on the doorsteps leading to the main entrance of the hotel.

Carol singing will be provided by the Ray Zammit Band. To make the event even more enjoyable, the Hotel Phoenicia will be offering complimentary homemade mulled wine and roasted chestnuts to the audience and passers by.

A traditional Maltese buffet will be served afterwards at the Phoenix Restaurant with live entertainment by Marthese Tanti and Band. Price for the buffet is e27.50 per person and group discounts are available.

Daniel Sciberras, director of sales and marketing, said that due to its popularity, the event has now become an annual activity in Hotel Phoenicia’s calendar of events.

“This year, we are adopting the ‘Join a Party’ concept and invite everyone, especially colleagues, to get together for an unusual evening of fun. During this festive season, it’s common for colleagues to go for a drink after work and the carol singing, together with the mulled wine and chestnuts, will definitely offer a different night out,” said Mr Sciberras.
