Three Couples protest against Madliena Development

Malta Independent Saturday, 13 December 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Three couples who live at Triq Wied id-Dies, Madliena, filed an application before the First Hall of Civil Courts in which they asked the Malta Environment and Planning Authority and Madliena Village Ltd to pay for damages they suffered.

Carmelo and Alison Farrugia, Paul and Anna Maria Camilleri and Carmel and Maria Theresa Falzon each own land adjacent to a construction development at Triq il-Fortizza, Madliena, which is earmarked by Mepa for detached and semi-detached buildings of two storeys and a semi-basement.

The complainants claim that Madliena Village Ltd’s project breached Mepa regulations. Thus, they protested against Mepa, which issued the permit for building which allegedly broke its own rules.
