Melita is supporting the Mellieha Local Council in organising the first edition of Milied Melliehi. This Christmas market is taking place in the main square of Mellieha under a purposely-built large tent, between Friday and 26 December.

Events kick-off from 6pm onwards. On Sunday, the Mellieha Christmas market will open for a full day of events including a traditional fair at mid-day with a number of great prizes to be won!

Melita will be present throughout the Christmas market providing a unique opportunity to the general public to experience Malta’s only fully-integrated home entertainment and telecommunication service packages, including super-fast cable internet, high quality digital television, cheap and reliable digital telephony and the new Melita Mobile – a cheaper, simpler and better mobile alternative launching in February.

“This Christmas, Melita is supporting a number of family events which bring together essential elements for this special period: family and fun. Milied Melliehi is bringing families together to celebrate Christmas, in a unique setting that underscores the special characteristics of Mellieha” said Stephen Wright, Melita’s Chief Operations Officer.

“Our new fully-fledged mobile service, Melita Mobile, will provide a better service for cheaper prices and simpler price plans. Mobile users can book their preferred 77 number for Melita Mobile by visiting www.melita.com. It is a simple and free service” added Mr. Wright.

Milied Melliehi is a week-long Christmas market packed with fun and entertainment. The British Residents Association will be preparing traditional seasonal English food and a selection of traditional Christmas ingredients will also be available. To help make your Christmas lunch that much tastier, cooking demonstrations will be held for various Christmas recipes.

On Christmas day, after midnight mass, patrons will also be able to enjoy a scrumptious Christmas breakfast at the Christmas market. Traditional Christmas cribs and Christmas singing will be on every day throughout the week. Children can meet Father Christmas and take their photos with Santa.
