On 23 November, JCI Malta National president 2008 Chris Mallia, and AIESEC Malta Member Committee President 2008/2009, Sophie Terpougoff, signed a Partnership Agreement. This agreement will help both organisations gain more recognition in the community and reach other goals, which will ultimately lead to sustained growth.
Chris Mallia explained that “JCI is the next stepping stone for AIESEC members. AIESEC alumni are excellent potential JCI members. Both organisations share the same vision and use their experience and skills to be agents for positive change. JCI Malta would benefit from the best practices of AIESEC members and on the other hand would be of benefit by providing its platforms of opportunities in the business, training, community and international areas.”
AIESEC is the world’s largest student organisation. It is present in more than 800 universities in 89 countries and territories and an international platform for young people to discover and develop their potential so as to have a positive impact on society.
JCI Malta is affiliated to Junior Chamber International (JCI), an independent, worldwide federation of young professionals and entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 40. JCI provides the opportunity to young people to develop their leadership and entrepreneurship skills to create positive change.
