This year Zoo have embarked on a new venture. Besides producing the Zoo shows which are now very popular with the adult audience, they are about to produce a show for the whole family.

They idea started when they saw the massive response from children and adults alike for their TV programme Kaptan Xrink. In every adventure Kaptan Xrink and his crew explore different lands, discovering new animals and different traditions. The characters have their own adventures in every programme because their personalities differ so much from each other; it is a mystery how they manage to live together.

Their trips are always very exciting as they are always chasing the baddie of the programme – Il-Baruni l-ahmar. Their aim is to return the treasures which il-Baruni has stolen from different lands.

The captain of the magic ship sails with his beloved crew, namely squeezer, the parrot, il-Gawwi, is-Sirena, Marju tas-Sejls and the cook Mustaccione.

Now this TV programme is being brought to the stage in Kaptan Xrink u il-Kuragg Mitluf, an interactive live show full of surprises, music, spectacular lights, costumes and scenery.

People have always been asking Zoo to produce a show suitable for the whole family and finally here it comes. The show will be held at the City Theatre in Old Bakery Street, Valletta on the 31 January and another two performances will be held on 1 February.
