Bank of Valletta has introduced an innovative and unconventional approach to its Monthly Investment Plans by creating an analogy between the Investment Plan and building a rubber-band ball.
The Monthly Investment Plan (MIP) is a simple, flexible and affordable way of investing a regular monthly contribution by aiming towards diversification and potential capital growth over the medium to long-term. The investment features of the MIP are being simplified by BOV representatives by comparing the plan to a rubber-band ball. Just as the plan is gradually built over time, the rubber-band ball is steadily put together with layers of rubber-bands. The colours of the rubber-band ball represent the diversification and drip investment method used by the plan.
Speaking about this initiative, Peter Perotti, General Manager of Valletta Fund Management explained that “This investment product is particularly suited for individuals who, rather than investing a large sum may prefer to spread their investment over a period of months or years, thereby taking advantage by cost-averaging their investment over a market cycle.
The Plan also offers flexibility and funds can be accessed at short notice”.
Customers wishing to enquire about the Monthly Investment Plan may do so by visiting any BOV branch, logging onto the website www.bov.com or calling Customer Service Centre on 2131-2020.
