Enterprises in the manufacturing, services, retailing and hospitality industries sectors may now apply to Malta Enterprise for an energy audit and a qualified expert will be sent to the applicant company to conduct a walk-through energy audit and identify opportunities for energy saving.

Through a public call, Malta Enterprise is now building up a registry of people qualified to conduct such audits.

Up to a specified number of hours, this service is being offered to enterprises free of charge. The number of hours wholly subsidised by Malta Enterprise is obviously related to the size and complexity of the applicant company.

Advisors will submit a report to the beneficiary company and to Malta Enterprise listing:

• Potential energy saving measures

• Indicative implementation costs

• Estimated savings that may be gained from the implementation of the recommended measures.
