Shireburn Software has won IBM’s Lotus Chief Technology Officer Innovation award for its Integra for Notes product. This prestigious award recognises visionary IBM Business Partners who are leading the technology charge by exploiting IBM Lotus Software’s latest capabilities in innovative and leading-edge ways.
The award recognises those companies fostering innovation and an ingenuity level that stands out above their peers.
Over the last year Shireburn has worked closely with IBM’s China Development lab in the implementation of an interface to IBM Lotus Symphony, which allows Shireburn’s Integra for Notes product to integrate Lotus Notes data into Lotus Symphony. Lotus Symphony is the free Microsoft Office replacement suite from IBM based on OpenOffice. The research and innovation undertaken during this process has led to the Maltese company being recognised by IBM.
The award was announced at Lotusphere in Orlando last week in front of 5,000 people and widely promoted by IBM. John de Giorgio, Shireburn Software’s managing director =, was presented with the award by Bob Picciano, General Manager IBM Lotus Software.
Integra for Notes has collected a number of awards since its initiation, including the Lotus Advisor Award for three successive years, the e-Pro Magazine Award, the Computer Society of Malta’s IT Product of the Year in 2007, and now the IBM Lotus CTO Innovation Award.
Shireburn Software is the leading Maltese owned software products company with a large client base both in Malta and across 40 countries, and with 36 resellers worldwide. Integra is used by some of the most well-known companies worldwide. More details about Integra’s award can be found at www.integra4notes.com/ awards.
