Adriana Farrugia, from The Palace Hotel Front Office, has placed 3rd out of a total of 830 nominations nation-wide in the Malta Tourism Authority Star Award.

The Star (Special Thanks and Recognition) Awards were set up to acknowledgment those individuals who excel in the service and hospitality they offer.

During 2008 close to 7,500 nominations came in from tourists and 830 different individuals were nominated. As an incentive to participate, tourists are automatically entered into a lottery where they can win a holiday to Malta.

During the award ceremony 14 people from the tourism sector were awarded the prestigious Star Award by the Malta Tourism Authority.

Claire Zammit Xuereb, Hospitality Director, AX Holdings, said, “Adriana merits this award for all her dedication and hard work. Her success is a reflection of the investment we make in human resources and the standards and level of service we apply at The Palace.”
