The Baron Group launched The Hillock Residences, an estimated e18 million residential development in Gozo, at the HSBC Malta Property Expo. The Hillock will be built on the site of the former Atlantis Hotel in Marsalforn Bay.
This new project will include 150 apartments and will have the well-known landmark known as Il-Qolla s-Safra as its backdrop. Through this project the Baron Homes brand will continue to be enhanced as one that is synonymous with elegance, style, prestigious developments and, above all, innovative ideas.
Baron Group director Xavier Tabone believes that The Hillock will enhance the village of Marsalforn and boost its economic activity. He also has a vision, which sees more creativity in the design of new buildings to reflect personality and move away from the uniformity of box-shaped structures. He explained, “In this project we have designed 50 different unit layouts, specifically steering away from linear structures. We have also introduced a great use of light, maximising open spaces and apertures everywhere”.
The project has been approved by the Malta Environment and Planning Authority and will be built in one phase over three years. It will be split into a number of individual units each with only a limited number of apartments. The units will offer a variety of spacious 1/2/3 bed-roomed units all with lock-up garages included.
The residences will be utilising green measures to ensure it is environmentally friendly. Insulation systems that make use of thermal panels on all exposed roofs will also help save energy from air-conditioning units. Ceramic panels on the facades of the building will also help keep the temperature inside stable – warm in winter and cool in summer.
The apartments, which start from €90,000, will feature property management services on-site. This includes an administrator system and attendance to all property and maintenance needs even in the absence of the tenants.
