Ballet comes to Bay Street this weekend as the Complex hosts Natalia Kolosova, one of the principal soloists of the Moscow Ballet Theatre. She will be dancing in the role of Lilac Fairy in Tchaikovsky’s ballet The Sleeping Beauty on 17 and 19 April at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta.

Natalia Kolosova will be performing at Baystreet on Saturday at 5pm. Following her performance, she will draw the three winners for complimentary tickets for The Sleeping Beauty ballet. To participate in this lottery, shoppers simply have to spend e10 or more.

Natalia will be in Bay Street again on Sunday when at 5pm she will participate in a hand-print ceremony at Celebrity Street.

During her weekend visit to Malta, prior to the April ballet, Natalia Kolosova will be meeting and awarding the best young Maltese ballet dancers. The best two students from each dance school will also receive complimentary tickets for the Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty ballet.

Natalia Kolosova’s repertoire includes 10 solo roles in well-known ballets: Odetta-Odillija in Swan Lake, Svanilda in Coppelia, Gizelle and Mirta in Gizelle, Red tutu in Don Quixot, Princess Aurora and Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, Baroness Shtral in Masquerade, Shaherazade in 1001 Nights, Juliet in Romeo & Juliet, and many others.
