The Collegium Musicum Choir with the participation of the University Vocal Ensemble will be performing excerpts from Stabat Mater by three composers, namely Antonín Dvoøák, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi and Karl Jenkins in a concert for Holy Week which will be held tomorrow at St John’s Co-Cathedral at 7.30pm by courtesy of the St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Cathedral Chapter and the Mediterranean Institute, University of Malta. The soloists soprano Cara Waring, mezzo-sopranos Connie Francis Zerafa and Graziella Debattista, tenor Frans Mangion and basses James Vella Bondin and Louis Cassar will be performing with the choir. The Collegium Musicum, resident choir at St John’s Co-Cathedral, is directed by Maestro di Capella Dion Buhagiar and will be accompanied by Romina Morrow on the organ. Entrance to the concert is free.
