The Society for Scale Modellers is holding the 28th annual model exhibition called “History in Scale”.
Apart from the gallery of modellers’ masterpieces, this year the expo will feature an interactive angle to involve visitors in modelling workshops and lectures. Visitors can attend lectures and demonstrations by distinguished speakers including historian Dr. Stephen C. Spiteri, aviation artist and specialist Richard J. Caruana, and others. For the younger generation there will be a dedicated hands-on model workshop to introduce them to the art of model making.
History in Scale will be open to the public over nine days in the Battle for Malta Hangar of the Aviation Museum, Ta’ Qali, until Sunday 19 April from 9am to 6pm daily.
This year, History in Scale is part of the Aviation Museum Week of events, which, apart from the aircraft displays, will also feature various historical re-enactments and a military vehicle parade.
Free parking is available for visitors within the premises of the Aviation Museum.
