Bank of Valletta has successfully migrated its Visa Flypass Business credit cards to EMV Chip and PIN technology; the new cards were sent to customers over the past days.

“The migration of the Visa Flypass Business credit card base is another important milestone in Bank of Valletta’s plans to offer its customers the added security and convenience benefits associated with the new chip and pin cards,” said Michael Galea, Executive Head responsible for cards business at Bank of Valletta.

“Indeed, today we have reached a point where all our Cashlink Visa debit cards and all our premium credit cards have been migrated to EMV Chip and PIN cards. We have now embarked on the process of migrating our Classic Visa Credit cards to the new technology, thus completing the migration of all our Visa credit card products,” added Mr Galea, highlighting the fact that Bank of Valletta today is in a position to offer its customers both a debit and a credit product that are SEPA compliant.

The BOV Visa Flypass Business credit card features a number of attractive benefits to the cardholder including 90-day purchase protection insurance on purchases made both locally and overseas, free travel insurance, AirMalta KM points linked to card usage, fast track check-in through AirMalta business class and other benefits.
