Sarah Clews, owner of Privileged Boy, is the proud winner of a Johnnie Walker Blue Lable Scotch Whisky presentation box, following her Irish horse’s success in the second leg of the Mediterranean Championship. The 2,180m gallop race, held on 31 March, was sponsored by Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky.

The Johnnie Walker Trophy, dating back to 1933 was presented to the winning Russian jockey Magomet A. Kappushev and owner of the horse Ms Clews by Martin Borg, Marketing manager, M. Demajo (Wines & Spirits) Ltd, local distributors of Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky.

The second leg of the Mediterranean Horse Racing Championships which were held at the Marsa Racetrack involved jockeys from 12 countries including Malta.

The competing jockeys arrived at the Marsa Racetrack in helicopters from where they paraded on vintage carts to the starting line.
