Bank of Valletta is supporting Small and Medium-sized enterprises in implementing eco-innovative projects through the new BOV ERDF Environment Financing Package. The product is designed to assist SME’s eco-innovative projects that contribute directly towards environmental sustainability by addressing issues such as water and air quality, waste streams and resources utilisation.

The BOV ERDF Environmental Financing Package is made available to eligible enterprises which can benefit from the Malta Enterprise ERDF Innovation Actions Grant Scheme that forms part of the EU’s Structural Funds for the programming period 2007-2013.

The new product will cover 40 per cent of eligible costs for Medium-sized enterprises and up to 50 per cent of costs in the case of small enterprises.

Bank of Valletta is committed to the business community and to the sustainable use of local resources. Eco-friendly technology also sustains the economic viability of SMEs, which can lower production costs and improve on the quality of their finished product. Moreover, the enterprises that achieve a better environment performance, can achieve an environmental certification such as EMAS, ISO, Eco-Label and other standards recognised by the Malta Standards Authority.
