In its endeavour to maintain the highest standard of management personnel, and as part of its managerial re-engineering programme to be able to meet the continuing challenges it is facing, Simonds Farsons Cisk plc has identified three new appointees to fill key Human Resources, Sales and Marketing positions within the company.
On 1 February , Antoinette Caruana assumed the role of Group Human Resources manager. Mrs Caruana has previously occupied senior human resources management roles at Lufthansa Technik Malta Ltd and Playmobil Malta Ltd. She was CEO of Heritage Malta and is currently a board director of the Central Bank of Malta. In her new responsibilities, Mrs Caruana will form part of the senior management team who will be taking the group through times of change and ensuring that people can truly make the difference in the organisation’s performance and the achievement of strategic objectives.
With immediate effect, Stefania Conte is assuming the responsibility of Chief Sales Officer with direct responsibility for beer and soft drink sales. Ms Conte previously occupied the position of General Manager Food Chain (Holdings) Ltd where she led the company through a successful business expansion programme, which now includes the management of 10 restaurants. In her new role, Ms Conte will establish direct contacts with the trade to support the necessary developments that the company is looking for.
The company also recently appointed Sue Weenink as Senior Manager – Marketing Operations with the aim of strengthening its marketing support services, in particular field intelligence. Ms Weenink has many years of experience with the company where she has contributed significantly to the development of this critical marketing function.
These appointments will strengthen the existing Farsons management complement and bring new added energy and impetus to the team.
