The world famous orchestral film music composer, Trevor Jones will be in Malta as guest of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra for an unforgettable music event entitled Movie Spectacular which will be under the baton of Kevin Abela Mr Jones has kindly accepted the invitation of the Music Division at the University of Malta to give a public talk on film and television music next Friday, 22 May 2009, at 18.00 hrs at the Aula Magna, Old University, St. Paul Street, Valletta. Trevor Jones has composed music for over 90 film and television projects and is famous for his music compositions for the Oscar winning film The Last of the Mohicans and Excalibur. He has collaborated with famous artists such as David Bowie, Sting, U2, Sinead O’Connor, Charlotte Church, Britney Spears, Elvis Costello, among others. He lectures extensively on Film Music and is Professor of Music at the NFTVS and lectures at the Royal College of Music.
