During their visit to Mongiuffi Melia, the Maltese delegation visited the churches of Saint Leonardo and Saint Sebastiano where there are statues of Saint Philip of Agira.

The delegation also visited the church of Saint Nicholas of Bari where on the main altar there is a statue of Saint Nicholas which at the beginning of the 20th Century was commissioned for Malta but then found its way to Melia.

Lastly, the delegation visited the local museum where it saw an old miniature depicting Saint Philip of Agira.

Mr Bonnici thanked the local council, parish priest Don Giuseppe Di Bella, for the warm welcome given to them and said he wished that Zebbug gets twinned to Melia.
