The United Nations Secretary-General plans to establish an advisory board for the United Nations Capital Master Plan to assist him in the review and consideration of matters relating to the Capital Master Plan (CMP), which deals with the renovation of the United Nations headquarters complex, the foreign ministry said.
The CMP advisory board is to be composed of five members, selected from the five Regional Groups of the United Nations, to reflect wider geographical representation. Individuals selected to be members shall be experts in the field of architecture, sustainable technology, construction, historic preservation, real estate development or urban design. The chairperson and the five members will be appointed by the Secretary-General.
