The Band Clubs Association said that band marches held during feasts are not in their large majority organised by the band committees or clubs, but by external feasts committees, which have nothing to do with band clubs.

Referring to instances where illegal activities have taken place, the association said that there were only few band clubs which may have organised a disco and added that no drugs are ever known to have been abused at such occasions.

In keeping with regulations, said that association, any band club found guilty of allowing such an act would be suspended, the association said.
