The Foundation for Human Resources Development said that Christopher Micallef is its first graduate from a group of students who are following a Doctorate in Social Science following its partnership with the Centre for Labour Market Studies, University of Leicester.

Dr Ing Micallef is HR manager at the Employment and Training Corporation and his thesis was about Investigating the strategic alignment of Knowledge Management orientation in Maltese medium to large sized organisations.

The Doctorate in Social Science aims to produce a group of leading-edge practitioners who have mastered the full range of the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for the conduct of their professional activities at the highest levels. Together with Dr Micallef, there were six other students conferred with the Masters degrees in human resource management and development, industrial relations and performance management – they were Joe Abela, Etienne Bartolo, Christine Buttigieg, Stefania Camilleri, Charmaine Psaila and Thomas Woods.

The next intake of courses will be in September. For information contact Daniela Gouder on [email protected] or on 2137-8895.
