A street brawl that broke out in St Paul's Bay yesterday evening led to the arrest of a number of people and two others being hospitalised, the police said in a statement yesterday evening.

The fight, according to the police, erupted in Triq il-Gwiebi at about 6.30pm yesterday. A foreign man was reportedly stabbed in the arm and is being treated at the hospital, while a foreign woman was also treated for leg injuries and has been since been discharged.

The police said they were holding at least one person, possibly more, to help them with their investigations.
