Dr Andrew Busuttil, who graduated in medicine at the University of Malta, was recently awarded the BOV Prize in Medicine. The award, established by Bank of Valletta and University of Malta in 2006, is awarded to the student who obtains the highest marks in the final qualifying examination in medicine at the University of Malta.
Joyce Tabone, manager at Bank of Valletta’s Marketing Department presented the prize to Dr Busuttil, who will be proceeding to Cambridge, England shortly to further his studies. Prof. Joseph Cacciottolo, Head of the Department of Medicine at the University of Malta Medical School, accompanied Dr Busuttil.
“When this prize was first instituted in 2006, its aim was to award excellence in the field of medical studies. We are glad to note that the spirit of this award continues to be upheld, with yet another student showing excellent results in the field of medicine. I take this opportunity to congratulate Dr Busuttil on his achievement and wish him well for the future,” Ms Tabone said.
