Actavis Supports Caritas Malta

Pharmaceutical manufacturing company Actavis Ltd has once again sponsored Caritas Malta to help the charitable organisation maintain its free-of-charge services offered to people in need.

The Caritas National Council was set up to co-ordinate and develop social assistance and charitable activities. Caritas’ mission is to alleviate poverty and promote human development and social justice, witnessing the Christian faith and gospel values.

Actavis is one of the world’s leading players in the development, manufacture, and sale of first-class generic pharmaceuticals. Founded in 1956, the company has led an assertive programme of expansion, making more than 20 acquisitions in the past seven years while maintaining strong organic growth. The Maltese operation alone has a workforce of no less than 523 highly skilled employees.
