Andrew Ripley, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at HSBC’s UK division of Marks and Spencers Money, has been appointed as the new Head of Personal Financial Services (PFS) at HSBC Malta.

Mr Ripley replaces Godfrey Swain who has been appointed Head of Personal Financial Services for HSBC Japan.

Mr Ripley joined the HSBC Group in 1987 in the UK as a graduate from Manchester University. He is a qualified accountant and spent his early career in finance and subsequently has specialised in personal banking.

Mr Swain will be based in Tokyo with a responsibility to develop a premium personal banking service in Japan, based on the Group’s flagship, top-end Premier personal banking proposition.
