Stretch Marks and Dermastir Elastin Ampoules

Malta Independent Sunday, 20 September 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Stretch marks result when the skin’s collagen and elastin fibres are literally stretched to breaking point, caused by pregnancy, puberty, rapid weight gain or weight loss.

When elastin, the main substance responsible for skin elasticity, loses its suppleness, stretch marks may appear. Can stretch marks be prevented? To a certain extent, yes.

For many people the problem with stretch marks is that they don’t take precautions against developing them; they wait for them to appear and then try to get rid of them. If skin elastin levels are dropping, it is important to supplement the skin with elastin. Dermastir Elastin Care skincare ampoules, by Alta Care Laboratoires, Paris, are a 100 per cent pure concentrate of elastin preserved in a glass ampoule. Each Dermastir elastin glass ampoule contains just one application, so the efficacy of the ampoules is as high as possible.

Dermastir Elastin glass ampoules can be purchased from pharmacies individually at e8 per ampoule or in a box set, and are produced for home and salon use. At “Le Grand Spa” Excelsior, Dermastir Elastin Care Ampoules are used in the “Anti-Stretch Mark Programme”, a treatment exclusively offered by Alta Care Laboratoires. One ampoule per week is enough as a preventative treatment. In cases when more intensive care is necessary it is recommended to use one ampoule every three days.
