Enjoying a packet of the all-time favourite snack Twistees will feel greater from now on for Marthese Formosa who is the lucky winner of the Twistees competition grand prize of a brand new Toyota Aygo.

While congratulating Marthese for her luck, Diane Calleja of Darrell Lea Foods Ltd said: “Twistees has been satisfying the taste buds of the Maltese since it was first produced 40 years ago, as it has always been an unmatched winner on the Maltese market, becoming a staple snack in our culture.”

Every month for the last five months Darrell Lea Foods Ltd held a Twistees competition offering five prizes consisting of two tickets to Sicily with Virtu Ferries, a weekend break at the Westin Dragonara resort hotel, a Nintendo Wii, a mountain bike and e100 shopping voucher from one’s local food store. Diane Calleja also congratulated the winners of the final draw, which were respectively won by Claire Vella, Angela Bouvett, Rosette Borg, Tiziana Grech and Astrid Camilleri.

Twistees, a tasty, rice-based, real cheese-flavoured snack, has kept up with the trends of the times, which today are certainly more health-conscious being the first snack to be baked and not fried and having a ‘lite’ version which is lower in salt and fat.
