28 October is celebrated as Gozo Day but the same day is a red-letter day for the FXB Group. On this day, 15 years ago (1994), the Group formally inaugurated the Emporium in Rue d’Argens Msida. This five storey building housing most of the new furniture lines FXB was producing at that time, was inaugurated during a ceremony presided by the then Prime Minister Eddie Fenech Adami. This large showroom proved to be an innovation for the furniture market in Malta at a time when importation was still quite restricted by the heavy levies one had to pay on imported furniture. Today, 15 years afterwards, the furniture market in Malta has totally changed with importation making inroads in the local market.

After the rebranding exercise conducted by the Group earlier on this year, the Emporium today contains Prestige by FXB lines, with traditional solid wood featuring prominently, catering mostly for the classical taste. The quality Tudor furniture range, exquisite solid wood kitchen cabinets and prestigious settee lines are what give a time-honoured furniture, commitment. The open week held in the first days of October at this showroom proved again to be a success.

The Nouvelle by FXB brand is now housed at the new Qormi showroom presenting to customers high-end design and modern furniture. Ernestomeda kitchens, coupled with other avant-garde furniture lines, offer a fresh, clean and contemporary proposal.

The third brand, Natur by FXB, based in the showrooms at the pedestrian area of Gozo’s capital, offers collections of rustic furniture. An interesting variety of country dining, living, bedroom and office furniture in reconstructed wood coupled with outdoor teak furniture, is put forward.

In the presentation of these three brands, the FXB Group complements imported furniture with lines from its own production, confirming the group as the largest furniture manufacturing establishment on the islands.
