Children getting the new Kinder Surprise eggs from the supermarket shelves will find a colourful classic Looney Tunes character inside, from the newest ‘surprise’ toy collection that has just been launched by Kinder. The popular cartoon characters come in a capsule that is cased in sweet eggs made by Italian chocolate-maker giant Ferrero. The egg is covered in pure and fine nutritious milk chocolate – brown on the exterior and white on the inside.
“It’s a wonder what little sweet moments of fun and joy the Kinder Surprise eggs give children, and the latest range of highly collectable Looney Tunes characters promises to entice both young and old!” said Clyde Attard, Marketing Manager at P. Cutajar & Co. Ltd, exclusive importers and distributors for Kinder in Malta. “Kinder has successfully made possible play experiences that stimulate the imagination combined with a famous nutritious snack based on the ‘more milk and less cocoa’ recipe.”
Kinder Surprise was launched in Italy in 1972. The toys were invented by a Swiss-born industrial designer called Hein Roth. It was he who came up with the idea of creating a toy that could be fitted inside a chocolate egg and yet be put together to create a toy that could end up bigger than the capsule it came out of.
