Accounting – no it’s not boring or uninteresting! It is easy to understand! That’s the basic idea behind the Second Edition of Go for Accounting! recently published by the authors Eric Mitchell and Alfred J. Sant Fournier.
The book is specifically aimed at beginners in Accounting. Every effort has been made to make the book easy to read and free of any unnecessary jargon normally associated with accounting text books.
Each unit has been written with the new student in mind as s/he is guided through the basics of Accounting. The questions at the end of each unit provide a thorough revision, enabling the student to fully practise Accounts as they learn and progress.
Additional units have been included compared to the successful First Edition to make the book even more comprehensive in its coverage of the SEC syllabus of the University of Malta. Students who sit for IGCSE Accounting may also use this book as a reference.
Both authors are experienced teachers of Accounting in secondary schools and have been preparing students for SEC and ‘O’ level examinations for many years.
Teachers of Accounting and any other interested persons are welcome to attend a workshop entitled Difficulties faced by teachers of Accounting at St Michael’s Foundation, San Gwann on 18 November at 6.30 pm. During this seminar the book Go for Accounting! will also be launched.
