Resources and Rural Affairs MinisterGeorge Pullicino announced a series of events to mark the opening of St George’s Square, Valletta at a press conference yesterday.

The square, situated opposite The Palace, is being transformed from a parking lot to a clean, open space.

The unveiling ceremony will be held on Sunday 6 December at 8.45pm and televised live by Public Broadcasting Services.

Activities will be held every day between 6 and 12 December. They are intended to give much-needed life to the heart of Valletta, once the project is completed. The last event will be the quality wine festival, organised by the Naturalment Malti campaign.
