Heritage Malta has re-confirmed GasanMamo Insurance as the official patron of the Palace Armoury following the signing of another 3-year agreement, valid until end of 2011. The Insurance Company has been affiliated with Heritage Malta since 2006, with most of the funds going towards the Palace Armoury to upgrade its displays and provide an educational experience to children, instiling in them a love for Maltese heritage.

Since then, the Armoury experience has been enhanced with 15 life size models in full armour enhancing the splendour of the weapons and armour on display. The Young Knights educational programme is also offered to students in secondary classes.

Thanks to this agreement, employees of GasanMamo Insurance are also benefiting from a reduction of 50 per cent off entrance tickets to all Heritage Malta sites.

“This partnership endorses the company’s objective to implement corporate social responsibility towards contributing to the restoration and preservation of our national heritage. By supporting Heritage Malta in their continuous endeavours, we contribute towards making heritage accessible to all,” said Albert P Mamo, Managing Director of GasanMamo Insurance.

Mr Joseph Said, Chairman of Heritage Malta, said: “The continuous support of GasanMamo Insurance has helped our organisation to upgrade its facilities whilst providing an educational experience to children. Whilst thanking them for their support, we encourage other private entities to follow their example.”
