‘Green’ Business celebrates five-year anniversary through Tree4U campaign

Malta Independent Sunday, 29 November 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

Cartridge World Malta owners William and Jenni McCormick are celebrating five successful years of their printer cartridge refilling and remanufacturing business, and to commemorate the occasion are planting 25 trees, five for each year they have been operating in Malta. Working together with the Ministry of Resources and Rural Affairs and their Tree4U campaign, Cartridge World Malta has planted the trees in a managed garden located at Gnien l-Awrikarja in San Gwann.

“We see the planting of trees as an excellent way of giving something back to the community that has made our business the success that it is,” is the thinking behind the initiative.

Since the opening of their first store in San Gwann in 2004, the business has flourished. The San Gwann shop was followed in 2005 by a store in Paola and a third outlet was opened in St Paul’s Bay in 2008.

William said: “We are delighted that the business has reached its fifth birthday this month. Our biggest achievement has been establishing the Cartridge World brand successfully in Malta, where it was unknown before. Since the start, we have been dedicated to providing the highest quality service and products, while saving home users and businesses money.

Jenni and I are looking forward to another five years of business development and growth.”

Cartridge World offers customers substantial savings on the cost of replacement inkjet and toner printer cartridges. The inks and toners used for refilling and remanufacturing the cartridges are formulated to match the manufacturer’s original product, guaranteeing the best print quality.

Customers also benefit from a 100 per cent product satisfaction, money-back guarantee. A full range of original and compatible cartridges, as well as printers, paper, fax supplies and other computer peripherals, is also available in each store.

William and Jenni are also justly proud of the green credentials of their business. William added: “As islanders, the Maltese are increasingly committed to protecting Malta and its beautiful environment. Each time one of our customers uses a refilled or remanufactured printer cartridge, they have prevented it from being thrown needlessly into landfill, where it can take up to 450 years to decompose. That’s something we find inspiring.

“And where else are you guaranteed cost-effectiveness and quality with a money-back guarantee – while reducing your waste and your carbon footprint?”
