Students Decorate principal’s office using recycled material

Malta Independent Monday, 7 December 2009, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

The office of the St Theresa College principal, at the Birkirkara Primary School, has been decorated with recycled products made by students of the seven schools who form the college.

Principal Frank Fabri said that the students, aged between eight and 16, used paper and plastic to decorate his office.

Four students from each of the schools forming the college – the Birkirkara, Msida, Santa Venera and Lija primary schools, the Mriehel Junior Lyceum and the Santa Venera and Birkirkara secondary schools – decorated the office in just over an hour. They were later given a small gift for their endeavour.

Mr Fabri said that the students were extremely enthusiastic about working with their teachers and colleagues from other schools on the idea. He added that head teachers in the respective schools also had their offices decorated by the students.
