For the third consecutive year, the HSBC Call Centre in Swatar has run its ‘Adopt an Angel’ initiative to give children in homes a treat. The initiative involves all employees at the HSBC Call Centre who have donated money, time and gifts for children in institutional homes in Malta. Some 252 children benefitted from this initiative this Christmas.

The gifts were distributed personally by the HSBC Centre director Richard Brown, accompanied by members of staff and Santa Claus, who visited homes in Zabbar, Tarxien, Hamrun, Sta Venera and Sliema.

The centre also recycled used Christmas cards and produced an in-house calendar, involving many of its staff, to raise money in aid of Dar Merhba Bik and Noah’s Ark.

“We were thrilled at the level of support which we received from our own employees and this has been a very rewarding experience for all who were involved,” said Mr Brown.
