Christian Panucci was presented with a commemorative plaque by Roma Club Malta before one of the training sessions held by Parma the past week.
Club President Ray Sant presented this honour to Panucci as a recognition for the sterling service he gave to Roma during his eight-year stint with the ‘giallorossi’. In his short speech Sant paid tribute to Christian Panucci highlighting unforgettable moments the former international experienced during his 229 matches with the club.
Panucci, the defender nicknamed El Grinta (the Grit), who also had an eye for goal – in fact he found the net on 20 occasions – thanked Roma Club Malta for this gesture and expressed his everlasting love for the Roma supporters whom he described as having no equals.
