Malta Independent Thursday, 21 January 2010, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

UCIM Co. Ltd was recently entrusted by Enemalta with the delivery of a new fleet of 15 Iveco Daily 35S12 trucks. The fleet, which reached Malta in the last weeks, has now been delivered to Enemalta.

Prior to their delivery to Malta, all trucks were fitted with hydraulic platforms which were installed by CO.ME.T (Bologna), a specialised workshop that is also a recognised partner of Iveco S.p.A. The booms of these platforms can reach a maximum height of 14 metres. All trucks and their respective equipment are fully compliant with EU requisites and include a multitude of safety features such as high-voltage insulation, boom safety equipment, controls in basket with switch-over from below, control levers for tip over basket for maintenance purposes, as well as an automatic self-levelling basket.

“We were delighted to have been in a position to attend to Enemalta’s requirements and deliver this brand new fleet which is soon going to start being seen deployed on Malta’s roads,” states Francesca Mamo, Managing Director at UCIM Co. “Delivering and doing so successfully is part of our core operation and also our commitment and we are proud to have concluded this project with Enemalta in a succesful way and in line with the client’s expectations.”
