The winners of the 2009 MyCoke Happiness Lottery were presented with their prizes during an event held at the Le Meridien, St Julians on Monday 25 January 2010. All the lucky winners of the 25 iPhone 3G mobile phones and 30 Vodafone Mini PCs attended this presentation organised by General Soft Drinks and Vodafone.

The prizes were awarded by Davinia Pule`, marketing manager at The General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd. and Michael Darmanin, Head of Marketing at Vodafone Malta Ltd.

“The Happiness Lottery marked the end of 2009 for MyCoke Star Points, where more than 50,000 prizes were awarded to our loyal consumers, including concert tickets, flights, clothing and accessories amongst other prizes. Moreover, through the Happiness Lottery we awarded the grand prize of e15,000 worth of furniture from R living as well as the 25 iPhone 3G mobile phones and 30 Mini PCs being presented here tonight,” said Ms Pule.

Mr Darmanin added, “It’s great to be able to collaborate with Coca-Cola and give lucky consumers devices that are not only hip and fun, but also empower them and give them access to the fast world of global communication.”

Ms Pule` then went on to describe the newly launched MyCoke Happiness Store, which is the latest campaign launched by The General Soft Drinks. “Through the MyCoke Happiness Store, members have the opportunity to claim unique Coca-Cola Limited Edition Merchandise in exchange for their Star Points.

“Moreover in order to give more people the chance to redeem their desired item, irrelevant of the number of points they presently have in their account, we have introduced the “MyCoke Wishlist” feature which enables participants to book an item by adding it to a “Wish List” even if they don’t have enough points to claim it yet. Then as long as they collect the required points in the stipulated time frame, they would be able to redeem the desired item.”

Ms Pule` also explained how this year, GSD has introduced a convenient home-delivery option for any participants who wish to receive their gift at home by courier service instead of collecting it themselves.

MyCoke Happiness Store was launched on 21 January 2010 and will be open until stocks last.
