There were no major developments in investigations over the Casino di Venezia robbery last Wednesday evening.

On Friday afternoon, the police reported arresting some people in connection with the case. However, no one was arraigned in court over the weekend or yesterday.

Five hooded and armed men burst into the Vittoriosa casino and fled with an amount of money that could be as much as e500,000, according to some reports. A sixth person was believed to have been waiting for the group on a speedboat at the marina.

The men had got to the casino in a grey Pajero, which they dumped into the sea before escaping in the speedboat.

Police investigations are ongoing.
