The first overseas Café Jubilee outlet officially started service in Budapest on Monday 22 February, making the traditional Café Jubilee homegrown menu accessible in Central Europe.
The bistro pub, which is one of the most successful chains in Malta, was officially inaugurated on Monday.
“We are very proud that our journey which started in Victoria, Gozo 10 years ago, has now taken us to mainland Europe and we wanted to celebrate the occasion together with all those Maltese who have loved and supported the Café Jubilee brand since the first day. Of course, Budapest is our first breakthrough overseas and a very important milestone in our history and we are indeed thankful to Mr Alfred Pisani, Chairman and CEO of the Corinthia Group for giving us this remarkable opportunity in opening our first international outlet in a property owned by Corinthia Group,” said Alex Scicluna, Director of Café Jubilee.
The launching of the Café Jubilee brand in Budapest is a strategic partnership and joint venture with Corinthia Group and is set to position the Café Jubilee brand on the international map jointly with a company who has outstanding international experience, with an outlet that reflects the brand experience which has made Café Jubilee so successful in Malta and Gozo. The site for the new bistro pub in Budapest is a corner property located in the heart of the city on one of the main thoroughfares.
“The drive, enthusiasm and commitment shown by Alex were the winning factors which gave us the confidence of partnering with Café Jubilee in our first joint venture overseas and we are hopeful that we will be able to repeat this experience in other European Cities,” said Mr Alfred Pisani, Chairman and CEO of the Corinthia Group.
