As always, the innovators on the Maltese airwaves, 89.7 Bay, is today launching its new drive time show – Nathan & Talitha’s Drive Time.

The Eden Leisure Group’s radio station 89.7 Bay has been going from strength to strength with its staggering survey results. However, Bay is not content to sit on its laurels. Instead it is dedicated to keeping the station dynamic and alive with a continuous offering of fresh, new content. It is revamping its shows and sounds and is now also creating the ultimate drive time show that will change the dynamics of radio listening with its two new co-hosts, the young and bubbly Nathan and Talitha.

Station Manager Victor Formosa stated: “The pair were already friends before they stepped into the studio together. There is an existing chemistry between them, which didn’t need to be created or forced, and this is reflected in the sound of the show. The show is lively and fun, but isn’t consumed with chat. Far from it, the focus of our station will remain music.”

Nathan has been with 89.7 Bay for four years, hosting Bay Beats and Malta’s top 10. Recently he was given the Drive Time show, which he has been hosting since the end of last year. Nathan co-hosted the award-winning Bay Music Awards in 2009 and also works in the Production Department on radio imaging.

Although Talitha is totally new to the broadcasting scene, having undergone weeks of training with 89.7 Bay, she is no stranger to the microphone or to having an audience. An established singer and actress, Talitha recently performed at the BMAs and has many stage performances under her belt.

She was spotted by a member of 89.7 Bay’s team as having huge potential for radio and was invited to join the team, to which Talitha jumped at the opportunity.

Nathan & Talitha’s Drive Time can be heard on 89.7 Bay between 3.30 and 6.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
